VIRTUAL SELF UTOPIA was the first live show Porter Robinson performed under his Virtual Self project alias.

BackgroundEdit

The show was announced on November 9, 2017[1], and tickets went on sale on November 15.[2] It was originally to be located at Brooklyn, New York's Avant Gardner[1], though on December 1, 2017, Robinson confirmed there would be a change in the venue due to a construction issue.[3]

  • On December 6, 2017, the Virtual Self Twitter account posted a tweet with an image and a link to the virtualself.co website. By accessing the site through a mobile device and pressing the screen thrice with three fingers, a web popup entitled "π‘‚π‘’π‘Ÿ π‘˜π‘’π‘¦ 𝑖𝑠 π‘‘π˜©π‘’ π‘’π‘π˜©π‘œ π‘‘π‘œ π‘‘π˜©π‘–π‘  π‘“π‘–π‘›π‘Žπ‘™ π‘™π‘Žπ‘¦π‘’π‘Ÿ." and containing a PDF link would appear; the PDF contained a modified version of the image with a Ticketfly URL for a UTOPIA ticket, along with the passphrase needed to redeem it.
